Purchased in 1999 by Joe and Sandi Gelina, these cabins were quite an eye soar. Friends and family who were with us when we were looking at them to purchase, thought we were CRAZY! They had been built in the late 1940's or early 1950's, and had not been updated since. I will post pictures later of the original cabins that we purchased. Most people would of turned around and RAN the other way, but Joe and I had the vision! And after about two long years of blood, sweat and tears our vision became a reality. Today these two adorable cabins are the most cozy, peaceful little cabins on the block.
The bigger of the two is referred to as the Bears Den. Over the years we have accumulated much bear memorabilia, which I truly adore! This cabin has a full loft upstairs with two full size beds. It also has a bedroom downstairs with a double bed. The sofa is also a sleeper and is the size of a small full size bed. So this cabin sleeps 6 people very comfortably but can sleep 7 to 8.
The smaller cabin known as The Eagles Nest is truly adorable! It has a bedroom downstairs, and a short loft upstairs with 2 twin beds. Although there really is sleeping room only up there, it is very cozy and unique. Older kids think it is pretty cool, as you need to climb a ladder to go to bed. The sofa is also a sleeper, and is a tad wider than a twin bed. So this cozy cabin sleeps 4 comfortably, but can sleep up to 5.
The fishing in the Pigeon Bay is fantastic! You can sit on the deck and watch the fishermen pull up fish left and right. Although the lake front is not fit for swimming, the wildlife such as the swan families makes it a very tranquil place to be.
